Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR.
A prospective member must provide documentation documenting her lineage. The Chapter Registrar and Membership Committee will assist prospective members in identifying a patriot ancestor and preparing their application. Documentation of birth and parentage will be required. The Registrar will help in identifying any additional documentation that will be needed to complete the application.
DAR volunteers in chapters throughout the country provide guidance and assistance with the entire application process. Admission to membership in the National Society is through a chapter or as a Member-At-Large.
If you feel the Annie Pulliam Chapter is the right fit for you, or just want to become a Member-At-Large, please click the Contact Us button below.
If you have completed research on your lineage please collect it and keep it in a safe place. Our registrar will want to review with you each proof for birth, marriage, and death, in addition to the proof of your patriot's service.
If you have not completed research on your lineage, don't worry! Our registrar and volunteer genealogists are available to guide you through the process and help you find the proof you need to join.
More information is available on the National DAR website, How to Join.
